    Hello Spiriter,

Thank you so much for setting up this community forum.

We are in the planning stages of opening up a craft brewery & distillery in Victoria BC.
Right now we are writing our business plan and aquiring numbers.

One of the stumbling blocks we have right now to understand is the caluclation of the Excise Tax on Spirits.

We were wondering if you were able to direct us to an accountant or a Spirit Exise Tax Calculator (we have one for craft beer).

    Any help would be welcomed,

    Kind regards,

    Heather

Being British and having sampled over 100 gins at least, I’ve been given a gift of your Stump Gin by my son, who lives above your brewery. It is, undoubtedly, the best gin I’ve had to date. The flavours of cedar, juniper and pine as well as other ‘greens’ I can’t quite distinguish predominate and really flavour the gin, which finally overcomes the flavour of the normal commercial tonic. That’s a first. although I make my own tonic and am quite proud of the results, I often do defer to the commercial brands which are overly sweet and kill the gin. However, Stump reigns, way above the tonic, and is a (maybe unfortunate) refreshing change to the ‘norm’. Please convince the LCBO to carry Stump – and keep the price reasonable. thank you
